Golden fields miles after miles, waved with genie air, songs of the farmer’s joy & happiness while harvesting is the usual scenario in rural Bangladesh the month of Agrahayana, the eighth month of Bangla calendar. To celebrate the harvest, a festival named Nabanna festival means new food is observed through the country with a smile and happiness of the farmers. It is a traditional festival celebrated with inviting friends and relatives and entertaining them with varieties of food items made of the new crops. In the urban areas, the festival is celebrated with music, dance, and different types of cultural performances.
The festival is celebrated all over Bangladesh But Jatiyo Nabanna Utsab Udjapan Parishad celebrated the occasion in two venues in the capital – Bakultala and Rabindra Sarobar in Dhanmondi – and in two phases – morning and afternoon.

Rabindra Sarobor can be reaced from any place of Dhaka by Car, Bus or Three wheelers.
