Ganesh Pagal was born in Polsair village of Kotali Para upazila in 1255 Banga. Ganesh Pagal’s father Shiromani and mother Narayani Devi were both devotees of Sri Sri Narayan Dev. As the child was born on the day of Ganesh Puja with the blessings of Sri Sri Narayan Tagore, he was named ‘Ganesh’. Mahamanava Ganesha Pagal, the follower of Sri Vishnu Das Gosai, died in 1335 Bengal.
For the followers of Ganesh Pagal, Ganesh Pagol Sebashram (Ganesh Pagol Sebashram) was built on about 365 bigha land in Kadambari Dighirpar area of ​​Madaripur upazila in Madaripur in 1312. 137 years
Earlier, 13 saints got together and organized a Kumbh Mela at Sevashram with 13 kg of rice and 13 taka on the model of the 13th oldest Indian Kumbh Mela. Since then, the continuity of the fair on the 13th day of Jaishtha month is being maintained every year. This fair of Sri Sri Ganesh Pagal Sevashram Sangh is recognized as one of the largest Kumbh Melas in the subcontinent. The area of ​​the fair is spread over an area of ​​about 167 acres i.e. 9 square kilometers. In the past, the fair was held only for one day, but now this fair lasts for three days.
Around 150 years old traditional Kumbh Mela has gathered around 10 lakh people from the country and abroad. Regardless of caste, religion, color, people who come to the fair believe that by visiting the fair and visiting Ganesh Pagal, they can get rid of all kinds of dangers.

How to go

Distance from Dhaka to Madaripur by road is 128 km via Padma bridge. Buses to Madaripur are available directly from Dhaka to Gabtali or Keraniganj’s Naya Bazar bridge end. Sarbik Paribahan, Chandra Paribahan, Sonali Paribahan and Sohail Paribahan buses leave for Madaripur from Gabtali bus stand. Various buses ply from Sayedabad Bus Terminal to Madaripur at regular intervals. Try to book direct bus ticket, bus ticket price is 450 to 500 taka per person (variable). It takes about 3 hours to reach Madaripur by bus.
Besides, there is an opportunity to take a bus from Gabtali bus terminal to Barisal to Mustafapur and from there take an auto-rickshaw to Madaripur Sadar or Tekerhat.
Before Madaripur, you can get off the bus at a place called Tekerhat and ride a Mahindra to Ganesh Pagal Sevashram.
