Laldia forest and beach

Laldiya Forest And Sea Beach (Laldiya Forest And Sea Beach) is located in the south of Patharghata Upazila of Barguna district. Located in the Barguna part of the Sundarbans, the Laldia forest can be seen after walking for a couple of hours through Haringhata. The Bishkhali on the east side of Laldia forest and the Baleshwar river on the west side. Surrounded by the estuary of two rivers and the sea, there is a beach at the eastern end of the forest. Although small in size, the beauty of this beach is not less in any part. The chirping of birds in the Laldia forest, the wild beauty of the sea, the scurrying of ganchils and red crabs unite the thirsty mind with nature.
There is a Shutki village next to Laldia beach. Dry crops are cultivated here from Kartik to mid-Phalgun, which has been going on for more than 50 years. However, 90% of the dry matter produced here is used for poultry feed.
Note: Kuakata is only 45 minutes from Laldia. If you have time, you can visit Kuakata too.

How to go

Barguna can be reached by road and sea from Dhaka. Express Paribahan, Sakura Paribahan, Abdullah Paribahan and several other bus services operate on this route from Gabtali and Syedabad in Dhaka.
And M from Sadarghat launch terminal in Dhaka. V Yuvraj 2, MV Nusrat-2, M. V. Several other direct and local launches including Yuvraj – 4 depart for Barguna between 5 pm and 6 pm. The deck fare of these launches is 250 to 350 and the single cabin fare is 800 to 1000 taka.
Trawlers and boats are available for hire from Barguna to Laldia forest. Or you can walk through Haringhata in Sundarbans to see Laldia forest and beach.
