Jacob Tower

Jacob Tower (Jacob Tower) or Charfashan Tower is the highest watch tower of subcontinent located in Charfashan of Bhola district. Built on the model of the Eiffel Tower, this watch tower with 16 floors can accommodate 50 people on each floor and 500 visitors in the entire tower. The modern Jacob Watch Tower has a transparent plus capsule lift with a capacity of 16 people for tourists to reach the top by stairs. This 225 feet high tower is the most attractive and tallest tower in South East Asia.
The tower is made of full steel structure and can withstand earthquakes of magnitude 8. Transparent glass has been used around the tower. 17th floor has entertainment facilities. With the help of binoculars, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the tower around 100 square kilometers. Manpura Island, Char Kukri-Mukri Island, Dhalchar, Tarua Beach, Bay of Bengal and Patuakhali High Resolution around Bhola can be clearly observed through this binocular. The tower has rest, first aid and food facilities.
Entry Fee: An entry fee of Tk 100 per person is required to enter this tower managed by the municipal authorities.

How to go

From Dhaka’s Sadarghat, Prince of Russell-4, Karnaphuli-4, New Sabbir 2 and 3 launches at convenient times and get off at Bholar Ghosh’s Hat Launch Terminal. The rent of these launch decks is 250 to 300 taka, single cabin rent is 900 to 1000 taka and double cabin rent is 1800 to 2200 taka. You can go to Charfashion Sadar by renting a motorcycle for 150 taka from the ghat or by riding a tempo for 70 to 80 taka.
