Napittachora Waterfall is now a well-known name for adventure-loving tourists. Napittachara Jharna is a Jharna located in Mirsarai of Chittagong district. The trail leading to the waterfall is known as the Napittachara Trail. This trail has many other springs and khums namely Tipra Khum, Kupita Khum, Baghbiani Jharna and Bandarkhum. As it is a relatively easy trail, you can enjoy walking the entire trail in one day if you put in a little effort.
The best time to visit Jharna is monsoon season. Then there is a lot of water in the fountains. However, there is a risk of flash floods during heavy rains. So it is better to be careful when visiting in rainy season. Besides, you can go at any time of the year.
How to go
From anywhere in the country, to go to this trail, you first need to come to Nai Duari Bazar of Mirsarai in Chittagong
will be 40-50 minutes walk from Nai Duari Bazar to start this trail. It will take 4-5 hours to walk the entire trail, but it depends on how well you are used to walking in hills and valleys. If you want, you can come back just by seeing Napittachara Jharna or Bandarkhum Jharna.
Napittachara from Dhaka: By bus you can go to Napittachara Jharna by any bus bound for Chittagong from anywhere in Dhaka. Non AC bus fare for S Alam, Shyamli, Saudia, Unique, Hanif, Eagle, Ena etc. is Tk 450-500. Among AC buses, Greenline, Saudia, Sohag, TR bus fare is 1000-1200 Tk. You have to take the bus of your choice and get down at Nayduari Bazar in Mirsarai. Telling the supervisor first will get you down.
By train from Dhaka: Any intercity train from Dhaka to Chittagong should alight at Feni station. The train fare is Tk 265-909 per person depending on the class. From Feni station you have to go to Feni Mohipal bus stand by rickshaw/auto for Tk 20-25. From there you can reach Nayduari Bazaar of Mirsarai by local bus or Laguna.
Chittagong to Napittachara: From Chittagong City’s Alankar City Gate, some local buses can reach Mirsarai’s Nayduari Bazar. Rent 80-120 Tk.
