Dim Pahar is located between Alikadam and Thanchi police station in Bandarban. Thanchi-Alikdam Road is known as the highest road in Bangladesh. The location of Dim Pahar is on this road. This road and Dim Hill have gained quite a popularity among adventure-loving travelers. Alikadam and Thanchi police stations are demarcated by the Dim Hills, which are full of stunning natural beauty and diverse tribal lifestyles. The construction of the 33 km long Alikadam-Thanchi road under the supervision of the Bangladesh Army has made travel to Dim Pahar easier.
It is difficult to explain in words the form of nature that one can see while walking along this mountain road which is spread from Alikadam to a height of about 2500 feet. Be it a witness of history or a tourist of beauty, return from here with a different sense of satisfaction.
How to go
There is a direct bus service to Alikadam from the capital Dhaka. Besides, take a night bus from Dhaka to Chakria in Cox’s Bazar district, and from there take a local Chander car or a reserved Chander car or local bus to Alikadam. From Alikadam take Chander car reserve or rent a motorcycle and go to Dim Pahar along Alikadam Thanchi road. You can visit Dim Pahar and return to Thanchi Bazar via Bandarban or you can also return to Alikom.
You can also go to Dim Pahar from Dhaka via Bandarban. From Bandarban take a local bus or Chander car to Thanchi Bazar and you will get a Chander car and motorbike going to Dim Pahar.
