The image of Sunamganj, Sylhet, or Kishoreganj comes to mind when we talk about Haor. But many people don’t know much about Saurabh’s fragrance in the Brahmanbaria district. Dhoronti Haor (Dhoronti Haor) is also the name of a wetland with a unique natural beauty. The scenic Dharasti Haor has many small and large canals, including the Titus River to the east and the Meghna River to the west.
Sarail-Nasirnagar road passes over Haor. From Baishakh to Ashwin months when the Haor Athai is full of water, a large number of visitors throng both sides of this road daily to enjoy nature. Many people called Dharasti Mini Cox’s Bazar after seeing the beautiful sunset view on Haor’s chest. Small dinghy boats and speedboats are available on hire for the convenience of visiting visitors to explore the waters of the Hawre.
How to go
It takes three to three and a half hours to go from Dhaka to Dharanti Howar located in Brahmanbaria’s Sarail Upazila. The distance from Brahmanbaria to Dharasti Haor is about 15 km. Sarail Bishwar Road can be reached by bus plying on Brahmanbaria route from Syedabad or Jatrabari in Dhaka. Autorickshaws and CNG are going to Dharasti from Sarail Bishwaroad.
Besides, you can come to Brahmanbaria by train and go to Sarail Bishwaroad by CNG.
