Motirhat Beach in Lakshmipur has already attracted the attention of tourists for its wonderful natural beauty. Motirhat Beach is located on the banks of Meghna River in Kamalnagar. As a result of the construction of Motirhat Bazar Raksha Dam, built to save the land from the erosion of the Meghna River, a beautiful beach was born naturally extending to about two kilometers. Fascinated by the beauty of Belabhumi, many have called it ‘Motir Hat Meghna Beach’ and ‘Mini Cox’s Bazar’.
The beach on one side and the embankment on the other side complement each other. If you walk along the embankment to watch the sunset, you can enjoy the beauty of this area much like Kuakata or Cox’s Bazar. And you can walk a long way along the plains. The diverse scenery of river banks, vast coconut and betel plantations and hilsa huts will give you a different experience.
If you want to go around the river, you can rent a boat and go to any pasture floating on the chest of the huge Meghna. Besides, even if you want to bathe in the river, there is no permission at Motirhat beach.
