This zamindar house is known as Pirgacha Rajbari and Manthana Zamindar Bari to the local residents of Pirgacha Upazila. In 1703-04 AD, Devi Chaudhurani’s Rajbari was founded by Zamindar Anantaram with an area of about 28 acres. In Devi Chaudhurani’s Rajbari, the 150-year-old Trivigraha temple built by the landlord Gyanendra Narayan Roy houses the Vigraha of Annapurna Visheshwar, Shiva and Harihara in side-by-side rooms.

It is known from history that Manthana Zamindar of Peergacha, as the first woman in India at that time, led the movement with arms against the oppression of the subjects of the East India Company. Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay wrote two books titled Anandamath and Devi Chaudhurani. The ruined ancient temples of Devi Chaudhurani’s palace still stand as witnesses of time. Every year various pujas are organized in the temple of Rajbari. At present, the Kachari Ghar and Natya Mandir of Devi Chaudhurani’s Rajbari are being used as Pirgacha Upazila Sub-Registry Office.
