The house of Zamindar Satendra Mohan Chowdhury and Gyanendra Mohan Chowdhury located in Sherpur district headquarters is popularly known as Pone Ten Ani Jamidar Bari (Pone Ten Ani Jamidar Bari). Built in Greek architecture, this house is different from other manor houses. Although much of the beauty of the zamindar house has faded with the evolution of time, the beautifully designed pillars of the zamindar house still carry the tradition of the zamindari period. The pillars are quadrangular and use square forms.
The wide altar of madir located inside the three quarter ani zamindar house, ornate pillars and cornice motifs at both ends of the entrance are also noticeable. The use of lime-slurry in the lining and plastering of the house walls is noteworthy. The roof of the manor house is made of cast lime plaster with traditional iron railings.
Apart from this, the architectural style of the Rangmahal in the south-east corner of the zamindar’s house shows the grandeur and aesthetics of the zamindar with vines and flowers. Dance-singing and various cultural events were organized in this Rangmahal. In front of the zamindar’s house there is a pond with a well-walled ghat.
