Dreamland Educational Park

Dreamland Educational Park (Dreamland Educational Park) has been built by private initiative in Harinmari village of Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha district. In 1995, Rashidunnabi Chand, a prominent businessman, built this recreation center on about 17 acres of land in Gaibandha district town. Full of natural beauty, Dreamland Educational Park has native and exotic trees, flower gardens, sculptures and various installations. As soon as you enter through the main gate of Dreamland Park, you can see a variety of native and foreign flower trees adorning both sides of the narrow road. Benches and sheds have been constructed at certain distances for the convenience of visitors to sit and rest. Dreamland Educational Park has a beautiful pond surrounded by trees in the middle. And between the trees there are sculptures of 255 world-renowned scientists and geniuses. Apart from this, there is also a huge map of Bangladesh, a map of Palashi battlefield, animal sculptures and various sports facilities.

How to go

There are several AC/Non-AC buses plying to Gaibandha district from different parts of capital Dhaka. Notable among them are Shyamali Paribahan, Al Hamra Paribahan, SR Travels and Orin Travels. Bus fare per person ranges from Tk 650 to Tk 1100 depending on the type of bus. Besides, three trains named Burimari Express, Rangpur Express and Lalmonirhat Express depart from Kamalapur Railway Station in Dhaka at 08:30 am, 09:10 am and 09:45 pm. The fare will be Tk 550-1886 depending on the train class. The distance of Palashbari upazila from Gaibandha district headquarters is about 20 km. Palashbari can be easily reached by bus or CNG from Gaibandha.
