Arial Bil is the largest and oldest bil in the central part of the country, full of water during monsoons and vast green fields in winter. It is believed that the origin of Arial Bill between Padma and Dhaleswari rivers in Munshiganj district was due to drying up of the confluence of Ganga and Brahmaputra rivers in ancient times.

How to go

Distance from Dhaka to Arial Bill of Srinagar Upazila under Munshiganj District is about 42 km. From Gulisthan, Abdullahpur or Mirpur in Dhaka, you can take any bus bound for Mawa to reach Srinagar in Munshiganj. Go to Gadighat by rickshaw from Srinagar market. From the ghat, one can go to Arial Bill, which is 15 km from Srinagar, by hand-pulled or engine-powered boats. If you want, a few people can rent a boat between 1000-1500 taka and travel around Arial Bill all day.
