Baliadi Zamindar Bari

Baliadi Jamider Bari, one of the 400-year-old traditional archeological monuments of Bangladesh, is located in Baliadi Union of Kaliakair Upazila of Gazipur District. Saad Uddin Siddiqui, the son of Qutb Uddin Siddiqui, the descendant of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiqui, the first Caliph of Islam, was the first ruler of the Baliadi Estate established by order of Mughal Emperor Jahangir in 1612 AD.
The Motwalli Chowdhury Tanveer Ahmad Siddiqui of the present Baliadi Estate is the 37th descendant of Khalifa Abu Bakar Siddiqui. Baliadi Zamindar Bari is not a property under the Archeology Department of Bangladesh Government and the descendants of Zamindars currently own this house. Just two kilometers away from Baliadi Zamindar Bari is another Zamindar Bari called Sriphaltali Zamindar Bari

How to go

From Mohakhali or any other place in Dhaka, you can take a Tangail-bound bus and get off at Kaliakor Bypass and take a rickshaw or CNG to reach Baliadi Zamindar Bari. Apart from this, Rajdhani Paribahan buses ply to Kaliakore via Airport and Uttara. By Rajdhani Paribahan bus you can get off at Sriphaltali Mor near Baliadi Zamindar Bari.
Again, from Gabtali bus terminal, take a bus of Maumita, Itisha and Adresh transport to Chandra place in Gazipur and get off at Kaliakoi bus stand and from there take a rickshaw to go to Baliadi Zamindar’s house.
