Bangabandhu Jamuna Ecopark

The only entertainment center in Sirajganj district is called Bangabandhu Jamuna Eco Park. The Forest Department established the Bangabandhu Yamuna Ecopark in 2007 on an area of ​​about 120 acres on the western bank of the Bangabandhu Bridge. The lush green park offers magnificent views of the Yamuna River and the Bangabandhu Bridge. The number of visitors to Bangabandhu Jamuna Ecopark is steadily increasing for its unique natural environment surrounded by calm and deep shade.
The variety of fruits, forest and medicinal plants in Bangabandhu Jamuna Ecopark includes mango, guava, rai, amlaki, deua, fig, kathal, olive, jam, tamarind, akasmani, ipir-ipil, arocaria, bakul, shimul, jaiyatan, jarul, mahua. , Nageswara, Karbi, Kanjalvadi, Tebubia, Arjuna and many unknown trees. Apart from the greenery, there are also squirrels, various types of birds, deer, peacocks, sajaru, rabbits and monkeys.

Jamuna Eco Park is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm and to enter, tickets must be collected from the main gate.

How to go

Non-AC buses of Avi Classic and SI Company ply from Mohakhali Bus Stand in Dhaka at regular intervals. And from Mirpur number 2, Dhaka line and AC bus of SI company depart for Sirajganj. AC/Non AC buses will cost 500 to 1300 taka per person. Apart from Mahakhali or Mirpur 2 bus, any North Bengal bound bus or train can easily go to Bangabandhu Jamuna Ecopark by getting off at the west end of Bangabandhu Bridge.
And if you want to come to Bangabandhu Jamuna Ecopark from Sirajganj district headquarters, you have to come by bus for about 08 km.
