Bangabandhu Safari Park Bangabandhu Safari Park is located in Mauna Union of Sripur Upazila of Gazipur District. The entrance to Bangabandhu Safari Park is just 3 km west of Bagher Bazar, which is 40 km north along the Dhaka Mymensingh highway. Bangabandhu Safari Park is spread over an area of about 3,690 acres and is rich in small dunes and forests. The safari park, modeled after Safari World in Thailand, was launched in 2013. Core safari is one of the attractions of this safari park. Tigers, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and other animals are walking around and you are walking around in mini-ruas. Maybe suddenly a tiger blocked the road from the front or a lion roared by the window. To get such an experience, Bangabandhu Safari Park can be an ideal place to visit with family from Dhaka and its surroundings. The whole Bangabandhu Safari Park is divided into 5 parts namely Bangabandhu Square, Core Safari Park, Biodiversity Park, Safari Kingdom, Extensive Asian Safari Park.

Bangabandhu Square
Bangabandhu Square has been developed with 38 acres of Safari Park. Parking areas, amusement parks and administrative buildings are located in Bangabandhu Square. There are also attractive murals and model decorations. Main gate, fountain and lake. Apart from the administrative buildings, there are display maps, park office, information center, restrooms, dormitory, natural history museum, eco-resort etc.

Core Safari
The core safari park, spread over 1217 acres of dunes, is completely restricted to tourists without vehicles. Two jeeps and two minibuses are kept here for the visitors. For a fixed fee one can see various wild animals kept in natural environment by car or jeep. Apart from tigers, lions, black bears, African cheetahs, chitra deer, sambar, gazelles, elephants, maya and para deer, many wild animals can be seen roaming in the open environment.

Safari Kingdom
Safari Kingdom has been built over 556 acres of Bangabandhu Safari Park. At the beginning of the Safari Kingdom is Macao Land, home to about 34 different species of birds brought from Africa. Next to Macau Land there is a marine aquarium with about 20 species of fish. Among which tiger fish, crocodile fish, Oscar, black goose and chocolate fish which change color every 20 seconds are notable. The attractions of Bangabandhu Safari Park are enhanced by the huge tiger restaurant and lion observation restaurant. Sitting at the dining table here, you can see lions or tigers on the other side of the glass. Asia Endangered Wildlife in Bangabandhu Safari Park includes Miniature Horse, Al Paka, Wallaby, Wandering Duck, Crown Crane etc. You can also visit three aviaries, butterfly safari, orchid house, giraffe feeding spot, vulture and owl corner, fancy carp garden, egg world, boating, lake zone, island and nature observation center at Safari Kingdom.

Entrance fee and other expenses
Safari Park Entry: The entry ticket for all Bangladeshis is Tk 50 but children under 18 can enter the park at Tk 20. And students coming for general or educational tour have to pay 10 taka to enter the park. The park entry fee for foreign visitors is Rs.1000.

Besides, there is a special entry fee for those coming from educational institutions on educational tours. If the group of students coming on the educational tour is 40-100 then it will cost 400 taka to enter everyone. If the number of students is more than 100 then it will cost 800 taka to enter.
Core Safari Park Entry Fee: Tk 150 per person to explore the core safari park where animals roam in the open environment in jeeps and minibuses. Entry fee for below 18 years and students is Tk 50 per person. 20 minutes by minibus.
Entry to other areas of the park is also ticketed. It will take approximately 200-300 taka to see all the spots. Packages for visiting several spots at once are also available. Besides, a 30-minute paddle boat ride will cost Tk 200 per person.
Parking Fare: Parking fare for each bus, coach or truck is Tk 400. Parking fee for microbus or mini bus is 200 taka. Jeep, private car parking fee 100 taka. Parking fare for autorickshaw or CNG is Tk 50 and motorcycle is Tk 25.

How to go

If you take a bus from Dhaka’s Mohakhali to Sripur, Bhaluka or Mymensingh and cross the Gazipur intersection, you will see the huge signboard of Safari Park in Bagher Bazar. To go to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park from Bagher Bazaar, a rickshaw or autorickshaw will cost Tk 20-40.
Besides, there are some human haulers from Gazipur Chowrasta to Bagher Bazar. In them, you can go to the tiger market and go to the safari park by rickshaw or autorickshaw. If you want to come from any other part of the country, come to Gazipur. Then proceed to the above mentioned place by your preferred mode of transport.
