Barek Tila is located in Tahirpur Upazila of Sunamganj district on the Bangladesh-India border. Also known as Barikka Tila or Barik Tila. Khasia Hills of Meghalaya can be seen from the top of the hill. About 40 tribal families live in Barikka Tila. The road to Tekerghat has been built through the green hills. How to go
If you want to see Barikka Tila or Barek Tila, you have to come to Sunamganj first. Every day Mamun and Shyamoli transport buses leave for Sunamganj directly from Sayedabad bus stand in Dhaka and Ena transport buses leave from Mohakhali. These non-AC buses cost Tk 800 to Tk 850 per person and it takes about six hours to reach Sunamganj. You can directly come to Barikka Tila by renting CNG or motorcycle from Sunamganj.
Nearest Places to Visit
There are two fresh water springs in Barikka Tila. Usually, except during the rainy season, there is not much water in these two lakes. The local people living in Barikka Tila use the water from this well. The location of the relatively large image is on the left hand side going towards Tahirpur. If you want to see these two dams, you have to do some trekking. And if you ask a local to know the way, he will show you.
The village Laurer Garh, a witness to the memory of the ancient Laur kingdom, is located on the banks of the Yadukata River, bordering India and Bangladesh.
