Betila zamindar house

Betila Zamindar Bari (Betila Zamindar Bari) is a historical building located in Betila of Manikganj Sadar Upazila. Betila canal, which runs through the green surrounded Betila village, was once used by various Mahajani boats and barges. Dhaleswari and Kaliganga rivers were easily accessible through the Betila Canal. As a result, the big merchants of that time used this Betila Canal as a safe route. The homestead of Satya Babu, one of the foresters of the region, became popularly known as Betila Zamindarbari. In Ajparagaon, such grand buildings and displays of nobility were no less than zamindari to the locals.

According to local residents Jyoti Babu, a banker from Calcutta, was the progenitor of the Betila Zamindar family.
