Bithangal Akhara is located in Bithangal village in Baniachang upazila of Habiganj district. Known as one of the pilgrimage sites for Vaishnava devotees, this arena was built by Ramakrishna Gogami in the 16th century. Built in the medieval style of architecture, the Biswangal Bara Akhara has separate rooms for 120 Vaishnavas. Various religious festivals are organized here with due solemnity. Among the landmarks of Vidhangal Bara Akhara are well-decorated chariots, brass sidvasanas, white stone chowki weighing 25 maunds, silver vessels and golden crowns. Every day a large number of tourists come to visit the historical and religiously important Biangal Bara Akhara, which is 12 km away from Baniachong Upazila Sadar.

How to go

Distance from Dhaka to Baniachang is 181 km. After reaching Abiganj or Shaistaganj, you can go to Baniachong by autorickshaw, CNG or bus. The distance from Habiganj to Baniachang is 24 km and the distance from Shaistaganj to Baniachang is 36.2 km. If you want to use the railway, you can only come to Shaistaganj from Dhaka.
During the rainy season, one and a half to two hours can be reached from Haor area of ​​Kishoreganj district near Habiganj (such as Itna, Mithamin, Ashtagram, Nikli, Bajitpur. One and a half to two hours can be reached by engine-driven boat. However, during the dry season, one has to take a jeep from Habiganj Kamtapur Bridge to Sujatpur by boat or walk to Akhara. .
Local boat departure time from Habiganj is 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM. And the last boat to return leaves at 2 pm.
