Chimbak Hill is located about 23 km from Bandarban district city. Chimbuk Tourist Center is located at the top of Chumbuk Hill. The beautiful scenery on both sides of the winding road leading to Chimbuk Hills, 2,500 feet above sea level, and the beauty of the spiraling Sangu River soothes the mind.
Standing at the highest height of the mountain and drinking Sudha of heavenly natural form, one can get lost in the depths of the otherworldly world by squeezing the raft of clouds. In the rainy season, you can see the clouds flying from Chimbuk Hill like Sajek, and if you are lucky, you can reach out and touch the clouds.
Besides, on the way to Chimbuk Hill, you can visit Milanchari and Shail Prapat Jharna. And if you want to go to the Nilgiris, the location of Chimbuk is on the way to the Nilgiris. Nilgiris is another 20 km from Chimbuk.
How to go
Wherever you are in the country, if you want to go to Chimbuk, come to Bandarban. Bandarban can be reached by direct bus from Dhaka. From Kalabagan, Syedabad, Gabtali, and Fakirapool in Dhaka, transport buses like Shyamli, Hanif, Unique, S Alam, Dolphin, etc leave for Bandarban every day.
You can easily reach Bandarban by taking any bus between 10 pm and 11:30 pm. The fare of these non-AC and AC buses is between Tk 800 to Tk 1800 per person. If you leave at 9-10 pm, you will reach Bandarban by 7 am. Besides, you can go from Dhaka to Chittagong by train or air, and from there you can go to Bandarban.
If you want to go via Chittagong, you can get a bus to Bandarban from the Baddarhat bus stand in Chittagong. The bus fare from Chittagong to Bandarban will be Tk 200,250.
Bandarban to Chimbuk Hills
Chimbuk can be reached by hiring a Chand car, jeep, or CNG from the bus stand of Bandarban district town. It will take about 1 hour 30 minutes to reach from Bandarban city.
