DB hawor is located at the foothills of the Bangladesh-India border at Jaintapur in Sylhet. DB Haor is 42 km from Sylhet city. There are total four bills namely yam, db, capitalization, center bill. After the rainy season, the Bills became a state of Shapler. Then thousands of red bees are spread on the same bill. In the morning, thousands of red candles light up the surroundings. As if nature arranges the keel with the smile of the red bee in the sweetness of its desire with the utmost mercy. A morning at Shapla Bill is one to remember for a lifetime for any traveler. Also popularly known as DB’s Haor Tai Shapla Bill. Besides, there is a ruined temple which is about two hundred years old. It is said that a king of the Jainta kingdom was drowned somewhere in DB Howar. It is believed that this temple was built for his memory. Besides, there is a tomb of King Ram Singh between the font cut and the DB bill. During the winter, the host birds reign over this haor. At that time, the surroundings of DB Haor are full of different species of guest birds such as Sadabak, Jelmayuri and Pankauri.

The Red Shapla flowers of DB Haor are usually seen from September to December. November is the best time. And if you want to see the form of Shapla, you have to reach before the sun shines. Early in the morning, thousands of beavers show themselves in the water of the bill in the flash of their beauty.
How to go
Dhaka to Sylhet by bus: Various AC/Non-AC buses to Sylhet from Gabtali, Fakirapool, Syedabad and Mohakhali Bus Terminals in Dhaka from morning to 12:45 pm at regular intervals including Green Line, Saudia, S Alam, Pamli, Ena etc. by doing The fare of these buses ranges from Tk 683 to Tk 1500.
Dhaka to Sylhet by Train: Parabat, Jayantika, Upban and Kalni Express trains depart towards Sylhet from Kamalapur railway station at different times of the day. Ticket fares on these trains range from Tk 375 to Tk 1288 per person depending on the class.
Chittagong to Sylhet by train: Two trains leave Chittagong for Sylhet namely Paharika Express and Udayan Express. Tickets for these two trains may cost between Tk 450 to Tk 1541 per person in class.

DB Haor from Sylhet:From Sylhet you have to take bus, CNG auto rickshaw or private car to Jaintapur. Booking a CNG autorickshaw for the whole day can cost anywhere from Tk 1500 to Tk 1800. A bit further from Jaintapur Bazar, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) DB’s camp will be visible. Shapla Bill is located at a distance of 1 km from the side of this camp. If you want to come from Kadamtali in Sylhet to DB Howar by bus, instead of getting off the bus at Jaintapur Bazar, if you get off in front of DB How Camp, 2 km ahead, you will reach DB Bill by walking only 1 km on the village road.
