Guthia Mosque (Guthia Mosque) is Asia’s largest Jame Masjid, located in Changuria village of Guthia Union of Uzirpur police station in Barisal division. This huge mosque has been built on 14 acres of land at a distance of 11 km from Barisal city. It is known as Gutia Mosque but its name is Baitul Aman. On December 16, 2003, S. of Guthia Union. Sarfuddin Ahmed Santu Guthia started construction of Baitul Aman Jame Mosque and Eidgah complex. In 2006, the construction of Gutia Mosque and Eidgah complex was completed.
The Gutia Masjid complex includes a mosque, beautiful minarets, Eidgah grounds with a capacity of 20,000 people, a post office bungalow, orphanage, car parking, ponds, lakes and flower gardens. At the mosque together approx. 1500 Muslims can offer prayers and the height of the minaret of the mosque is about 193 feet. The construction cost of the mosque is about 21 crore rupees and the architectural style of the mosque reflects the famous mosques of Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The mosque uses high-quality glass, frames, and Bose speakers. 30 employees are always engaged in the supervision of Gutia Masjid. In this mosque, arrangements have been made for women to pray separately.
