During the peak season of pineapples, the Jalchhatra haat extends from the 25 mile junction to the police outpost. Farmers bring the pineapples produced in their fields to the market in the morning. And buyers from different parts of the country come here to buy pineapples at wholesale prices. Apart from pineapple, bananas, kamaranga, amra and kachur are sold in this market. It is not possible to understand this huge activity around the buying and selling of pineapples in this market. Apart from Jalchhatra market, pineapples are bought and sold in Garo market, Madhupur market and 25 mile market. Apart from seeing the pineapple market, the eye-catching pineapple orchards, the sweet smell of ripe pineapples and the beautiful scenery of the countryside enthrall nature lovers.

There is a direct bus to Madhupur from Mahakhali in Dhaka. Bus fare is 200-300 taka. You can take an auto rickshaw from Madhupur to Pineapple Market Jalchhatra. In addition, from Mymensingh, you can actually go down to Jalchhatra market directly.
