One of the well-known fountains of Sitakunda is the lotus trail fountains. It has become a popular place for hikers because of its fairly easy trail and the waterfalls of Kamaldaha Trail can be visited in a short time. Kamaldah Trail has many fountains. At the top of this trail, the path splits left and right. You will see small fountains and cascades ahead along the trail.
How to go
The Bus
From where you go, you must first go to Bara Darogahat Bazar in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong District. From Dhaka, you can take any bus to Chittagong. For this, you will have to go down the steep road. Bus fare from Dhaka to Sitakunda is 800 taka depending on the standard.
The Train
If you want you can go by train from Dhaka (fare 265-909 taka depending on the standard). In this case, it is best to go down to Feni. You can reach Bara Darogahat market by local bus from Feni station.
From Chittagong
Sitakunda can also be reached by bus from Chittagong’s Alankar Mor. You can go by choice bus from Chittagong to Tk 80.
A brick opening can be seen further towards Dhaka from Bara Darogar Hat Bazaar. Crossing this brick opening and going a little further along the dirt road on the right, you will see the Jhiri path. This is the beginning of Kamaldahar Jhiri. Along this stream, the lotus fountain can be seen. Although many people call it cascade. Crossing this waterfall and going uphill, other waterfalls on the trail can be seen. If you want to see all the fountains, then enter through the open brick pass through the Phatikchari-Bariyadhala route, and exit at Bara Darogarhat through Narayan Ashram.
