Narayantala is located on the India-Bangladesh border, 12 km from the city of Sunamganj district. Due to its location at the foothills of the Khasia Hills in the Meghalaya state of India, Narayantala offers a breathtaking view of the distant green hills. Apart from natural beauty, Narayantala has historical importance. There are mass graves of 48 brave freedom fighters at Dolura in Narayantala. So the visitors who come here do not make any mistake to pay their respects at the shrine of martyred freedom fighters under Balat sub sector. And if you go to Mugair Par village in Narayantala, you have the opportunity to get acquainted with the lifestyle and culture of the Garo tribals.
Narayantala has various institutions run by Christian missionaries known as Saint Thomas Church. Apart from this, the beautiful view of the flowing river passing by the Dolura village enthralls the travelers. The sandy desert on the banks of the current river looks like the beach of the sea.
How to go
If you want to go to Narayantala, you have to come to Sunamganj district first. You can reach Narayantala Shaheed Minar from Sunamganj traffic point by CNG/TomTom, going down to Haluar Ghat and crossing Tolar river you can take rickshaw or motorcycle to reach the destination.
