Nizam Hasina Mosque

Nizam Hasina Mosque, the largest modern mosque in southern region, has been built in Bhola, the only island district of Bangladesh. The Nizam-Hasina Foundation has set up this two-storied mosque on about one and a half acres of land at Ukil Para in Bhola. Marble stones of various colors have been used in the construction of this magnificent Nizam Hasina Mosque with beautiful craftsmanship. Nizam Hasina Masjid has separate ablutions and prayer areas for men and women. In this mosque, about two thousand worshipers have the opportunity to pray together. The foundation stone of the mosque was laid in June 2010 and the Nizam Hasina Mosque was inaugurated on 30th December 2016 for regular prayers.
The Nizam Hasina Mosque has a dome with a height of 60 feet. And the height of the minaret installed in the mosque is 120 feet. Calligraphy, attractive fountains and decorated flower gardens multiply the beauty of the mosque.

How to go

Nizam Hasina Mosque can be reached by taking a launch from Dhaka’s Sadarghat or Chittagong’s Lakshipur Majhu Chowdhury Hut and getting off at Bhola’s Elisha Ferry Ghat and traveling only 10 kilometers by TomTom Yoga.
Besides, take a launch from Dhaka to Barisal Sadar Ghat and from there take a launch to Bhola to Veduria Ghat and take an auto to the Nizam Hasina Mosque built in Ukil Para area of ​​Bhola Sadar. Dhaka to Barisal launch deck fare is Tk 150. And from Barisal to Veduria Ghata, the fare will be 80 taka per person and auto fare from Veduria will be 40 taka per person
