In 2013, the Bangladesh Army built the Proyash Shena Binodon Park on both banks of the Ghaghat River with an area of about 1,100 acres. The large area of the park is covered with a variety of medicinal, forest and fruit trees. There are three picnic spots named Teesta, Karatoa and Yamuna. Prayas Sena Amusement Park also has various sculptures, artificial beaches, boat rides, children’s entertainment, picturesque islands and flower gardens. Army-run Prayas Sena Amusement Park has tight security arrangements. Organized efforts 75 percent of the revenue of Sena Amusement Park is spent on the welfare of the disabled.

Prayas Sena Amusement Park is located on Nisbetganj Road in Rangpur city. Rickshaws, autos and CNG are available from Rangpur city to Prayas Sena Recreation Park. Dhaka to Rangpur by Bus: AC and non-AC buses ply to Rangpur from Mohammadpur, Mohakhali, Gabtali and Kalyanpur in the capital Dhaka. Bus fare from Dhaka to Rangpur is Tk 750 to Tk 1500 depending on the standard.
