In the year 2012, Safina Park was built on a private initiative on an area of about 40 bighas in Khejurtala, two villages of Godagari upazila of Rajshahi. The distance from Godagari to Safina Park is about 9 km. The only entertainment center in the upazila was reopened in 201980 after being closed for almost 2 years. Safina Park with its new recreational facilities has now gained popularity as an entertainment and picnic spot for visitors of all ages.
With various flowers, fruits and medicinal plants inside the park are beautiful fountains and interesting sculptures of various animals and birds created artificially. For the entertainment of children, there are Nagordola, Swing, Train, 3D Cinema and Kids Sports Zone. Visitors can take a boat ride on the two lakes within the park if they wish. Fishing is available in the lake subject to permission. Safina Park has 2 picnic spots, conference room and stage to host any event. Besides, a market has been constructed inside the park to facilitate the shopping of the visitors.
How to go
To go to Safina Park, you have to come to Rajshahi first. Rajshahi can be reached from Dhaka by road, rail and air. Rajshahi can be reached from Dhaka by road, rail and air. From Gabtali, Abdullahpur and Kalyanpur in Dhaka, AC and non AC buses like Shyamoli, Hanif, Bablu Enterprise, Greenline and Desh Travels are available to reach Rajshahi. The fare per person will be Tk 710 to Tk 1000 depending on the bus.
By train from Kamalapur railway station you can go to Rajshahi by Siptacity, Dhumketu, Bonlava or Padma Express. The price of the train ticket per person varies from Tk 340 to Tk 865 depending on the class. Apart from that, you can go to Rajshahi by taking Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US Bangla Airlines and NovoAir flights from Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport.
From Rajshahi city by local transport like bus, CNG and auto rickshaw to Godagari zero point. You can reach Safina Park which is about 9 km away.
