Shah Irani Mazar Sharif is located in Patuli Union of Belab Upazila of Narsingdi District. Although the exact information about Hazrat Shah Irani (RA) is not known, according to historians, famous Auliyas from countries like Persia, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, etc. came to the Indian subcontinent as companions of Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) to spread Islam. Shah Iran, a member of the royal family of Iran at that time, came as a preacher. He was then about 40 years old. Note that because his real name is unknown and being a native of Iran, he came to be known as Shah Irani.
The Shah Irani (RA) Mazar Sharif, spread over an area of ​​about 63 acres, has a huge pond on the eastern side. Which is known as the biggest Dighi in Greater Dhaka. Official documents refer to this Dighi as Maharani’s Dighi. The design of Shah Irani (RA) Mazar Sharif is similar to the architecture of the Sultanate period. According to archaeologists, this shrine is an architectural monument dating back to the 5th/6th century. The preserved stones and arches in front of Shah Irani (RA) Mazar Sharif still bear the signature of the ancient past.

How to go

From the capital Dhaka, take a bus bound for Sylhet, Kishoreganj, Brahmanbaria or Narsingdi and alight at Morjal or Baraichha bus stand on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. From there you can reach Poradia Bazar by CNG or local vehicle of your choice and visit Shah Irani (RA) shrine by rickshaw. Note that direct CNG to Shah Irani (RA) Mazar Sharif is available from Morjal/Baraicha bus stand
