Shapla Gram Satla is like a Shapla state. The thousands of red flowers blooming in the bill’s water seem to beat the red glow of the sun. The distance from Barishal Sadar to Satla village is 60 km. Bills of village Satla of Ujirpur upazila of Barisal are known as Shaplar Bills by locals. There is no information available about when Shapla began to bloom here, but it is known that three types of Shapla, red, white and purple, are grown here. But the red bee is the most common.
Shapla grows in about 10,000 acres of wetlands in Satla village. Most of the residents of Shapla village are therefore associated with Shapla marketing. Shapla flowers are supplied to different parts of the country from Shapla village Satla. Satla is an ideal place for photographers to photograph the Shapla.
When will you go to Satla?
Generally from August to October these 3 months bloom here. During these months of the year, if you go to Shapla village Satla, you will see thousands of Shapla. And if you want to see Shapala, you must go early in the morning because as the day progresses, the Shapala flowers fade or the Shapala flower traders take them to sell in the flower market. So it is best to leave the village for one night and go to Shapla Bill early in the morning.
How to go
From Barisal you can reach Shikarpur by bus and hire an auto to go to North Satla. Besides, while going to Barisal by bus from Dhaka, you can get down from the Nutanhat bus at Uzirpur and take a direct auto from there to see the Satla Shapla bill. Or you can reach your destination in 2 hours by direct bus service from Barisal’s Nathullabad bus stand to Satla and Bagdha villages. Also from Barisal you can also take a Mahendra car and visit Shapla village from Satla.
