Tamabil

Tamabil is a place of natural beauty on Bangladesh-India border located in Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet. If you continue along the Sylhet-Jaflong road, you will see Tamabil 5 km east of Jaflong. The distance from Sylhet district to Tamabil is about 55 km. Tamabil is originally a post on the border road between Sylhet, Bangladesh and Shillong, India.
From Tamabil you can see various places of interest including mountains, springs in the state of Meghalaya, India. So many visitors come to Tamabil to be enchanted by the beautiful scenery. A glimpse of the towering mountains and waterfalls of Bakera on the way to Tamabil adds to the interest of traveling to Tamabil. Nature also has clear water lakes, Tamabil Zero Point and Jainta Hill Resort to enjoy the beauty of Tamabil.

How to go

From Sylhet if you want to go to Tamabil by local bus, come to Shibganj in Sylhet city and from there you can go to Tamabil at a fare of 80 taka per person. CNG or auto rickshaw will cost Tk 1200 to Tk 2000 to go to Tamabil. And to reserve a microbus for the whole day will cost 3000 to 5000 taka. Besides, you can go to Tamabil from anywhere in Sylhet city by Jaflong-bound vehicle.
